Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival at Varanasi Airport/Railway Station. Meet & greet by our representative and transfer to hotel. Check in and relax after your journey.
In the evening, proceed to Dashashwamedh Ghat to witness the grand Ganga Aarti, a mesmerizing ritual performed on the banks of the River Ganga with lamps, chants, and spiritual energy.
You may also enjoy a short walk along nearby ghats to experience the vibrant atmosphere of Kashi. Overnight stay in Varanasi.
After breakfast, proceed to Sarnath (approx. 10 km), one of the most sacred Buddhist sites.
Visit Dhamek Stupa, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon (Dharmachakra Pravartan). Continue to Chaukhandi Stupa, marking the meeting place of Buddha with his first disciples.
Visit Mulagandha Kuti Vihara, known for its beautiful frescoes depicting Buddha’s life. Explore the Sarnath Archaeological Museum (closed on Fridays), which houses important relics including the Lion Capital of Ashoka.
Also visit various international monasteries (Thai, Japanese, Tibetan), offering peaceful surroundings for meditation. Return to Varanasi. Overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Kaushambi (approx. 4–5 hrs).
Visit Ghositarama Monastery, where Buddha stayed during his visits and delivered important teachings. Explore remains of Ashokan Pillar and ancient ruins reflecting the rich Buddhist past.
Later proceed to Prayagraj. Check in at hotel.
If time permits, visit Triveni Sangam (Optional), the sacred confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. Overnight stay.
After early breakfast, proceed to Kushinagar (approx. 7–8 hrs).
On arrival, begin sightseeing with Mahaparinirvana Temple, housing the reclining statue of Lord Buddha marking the place of his Mahaparinirvana.
Visit Ramabhar Stupa, the cremation site of Buddha, and Matha Kuar Shrine, associated with his last sermon.
Also explore international monasteries built by different Buddhist countries. Check in at hotel. Overnight stay.
After breakfast, proceed to Shravasti (approx. 6–7 hrs).
On arrival, visit Jetavana Monastery, where Buddha spent many monsoon seasons. Explore Gandhakuti and Kosambakuti, associated with his residence.
Visit Anand Bodhi Tree, planted by his disciple Ananda, and Angulimala Stupa, linked to the famous story of transformation.
Continue to Sahet-Mahet ruins, representing the ancient city of Shravasti with remains of monasteries and stupas. Spend peaceful time in meditation. Overnight stay.
After early breakfast, proceed to Sankissa (approx. 5–6 hrs).
Visit the sacred site where Lord Buddha is believed to have descended from heaven (Trayastrimsa). Explore Ashokan Pillar, Buddhist Stupa, and temple complex.
After sightseeing, continue to Lucknow (approx. 4–5 hrs). Drop at airport/railway station for onward journey with peaceful and spiritual memories.
