Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Upon arrival at Agra Railway Station or Airport, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel. After check-in and refreshments, begin your exploration of Agra, the former capital of the Mughal Empire.

Start with a visit to the world-famous Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, the monument is considered the pinnacle of Mughal architecture. Spend time admiring the exquisite marble inlay work, calligraphy, symmetrical gardens, and architectural perfection that make the Taj Mahal one of the most visited monuments in the world.

Later proceed to the majestic Agra Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. This massive red sandstone fortress served as the primary residence of the Mughal emperors for nearly a century. Explore Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khas, Jahangiri Mahal, Musamman Burj, Khas Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, and the royal courtyards while learning about the lives of the emperors who ruled from here.

In the evening visit Mehtab Bagh, a beautifully laid-out Mughal garden situated across the Yamuna River. Enjoy spectacular sunset views of the Taj Mahal and capture memorable photographs.

Return to the hotel for overnight stay in Agra.

Day 2

After breakfast, proceed towards the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site of Fatehpur Sikri, located approximately 40 kilometers from Agra.

Built by Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century, Fatehpur Sikri served as the Mughal capital for a brief period before being abandoned due to water shortages. Today it stands as one of the best-preserved examples of Mughal city planning and architecture.

Begin your exploration at the imposing Buland Darwaza, one of the largest gateways in the world. Continue to Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Aam, Jodha Bai Palace, Birbal's House, Turkish Sultana's House, and Anup Talao.

Walk through the vast courtyards, royal residences, administrative buildings, and audience halls while learning about Emperor Akbar's vision of governance, religion, and architecture.

Spend ample time exploring the city's unique blend of Persian, Central Asian, and Indian architectural styles before returning to Agra in the evening.

Overnight stay in Agra.

Day 3

After breakfast, proceed to Akbar's Tomb, one of the finest examples of Mughal funerary architecture.

Built by Emperor Akbar and completed by his son Jahangir, the tomb complex is set amidst beautifully landscaped gardens and reflects a unique fusion of Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain architectural influences. Explore the grand gateways, intricate marble work, geometric designs, and peaceful gardens surrounding the mausoleum.

Later visit the magnificent Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, often referred to as the "Baby Taj." This elegant marble monument is considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal and is renowned for its delicate pietra dura inlay work and exquisite craftsmanship.

Continue to Chini Ka Rauza, a lesser-known yet historically significant Mughal monument famous for its Persian-style glazed tile decorations.

In the afternoon explore Kinari Bazaar and the historic lanes of old Agra, where traditional craftsmen continue centuries-old artistic traditions including marble inlay work, leather craftsmanship, and handicrafts.

Enjoy your final evening in Agra.

Overnight stay in Agra.

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning at the hotel.

Depending on your departure schedule, you may visit local handicraft centers and workshops to witness the traditional marble inlay techniques that have been passed down through generations since the Mughal era.

Later transfer to Agra Railway Station or Airport for your onward journey with unforgettable memories of the architectural brilliance, royal legacy, and cultural heritage of the Mughal Empire.
